"BOXING IS THE SPORT THAT ALL OTHER SPORTS ASPIRE TO BE."

—George Foreman
Gold medalist at the 1968 Mexico Olympics

We invite you to train at the oldest boxing club in the country, in the cradle of boxing in Iceland.

DOES BOXING REQUIRE SPECIAL PREPARATION?

People of all levels are welcome, both beginners and experienced competitors. The coach will help you adapt to the program based on your experience and goals.

WHAT DO THE PRACTICES CONSIST OF?

Practice begins with a warm-up: light movement, active stretching, jumping rope and shadow boxing. What follows is the main part of the practice period, which can vary depending on where you are located in the training process: technical, coordination and endurance exercises and hitting the bags. Time spent working individually or with a partner is divided roughly equally. Finally, there is the cooldown, which are lighter exercises, breathing and stretching and sometimes light games to end the day with a smile on your face. Each practice is 1 to 1½ hours.

YOUR FIRST PRACTICE

For your first practice, you only need to show up in sports clothes and thin-soled sports shoes. You can borrow the rest. The next step would be to buy your own boxing gloves and wraps. Just ask the coach for advice.
